ACNELAN by Mesoestetic

Acnelan is an intensive medical treatment specifically for acne-prone and seborrhoeic skin, combining intensive clinical treatments/peels with a home care programme.

The Acnelan system works with a multi-focal and consistent approach to deep cleanse blocked pores, removing impurities and improving the skin’s texture, tackling the numerous factors that trigger acne.

The Acnelan system was developed by Mesoestetic in collaboration with a prestigious group of specialist dermatologists to offer a safe, high-quality and very effective dermo-cosmetic treatment for acne.

Acnelan is based on the unique m.acne complexTM, an innovative combination of active substances including salicyclic acid, sodium lepargilate, mandelic acid and shikimic acid.

  • Decrease in sebum production: this slows down the secretory activity of sebaceous glands.
  • Control of bacterial proliferation: this inhibits the growth and reproduction of the strains making up the skin flora, which may infect blocked pilosebaceous canals.
  • Less redness and epidermal swelling: this reduces and soothes the intensity of the inflammatory process of acne outbreaks.
  • Lightening of post-acne hyperpigmentation: this improves the appearance of hyperpigmented areas of skin after an acne outbreak.

Acne vulgaris is a common chronic skin disease caused by excess androgen production involving a sequence of different triggers.  It is a polymorphic skin condition characterized by various types of lesions, such as comedones, papules, pustules, nodules, scars and hyperpigmentation.  Acne may also have a social impact as it exacerbates social anxiety, which is already more prevalent during adolescence.  As a result, it may have a detrimental effect on the quality of life and productivity of individuals affected by this condition.

Course of 3 Treatments
The Acnelan method combines an intensive medical treatment with a complete range of home maintenance products that includes: a daily cleansing mousse, a cream with a global multifocal action for daily use, and a descaling, purifying face mask for weekly use and a cream for localized use.  The application protocol of the medical treatment involves 3 sessions that are carried out with an interval of 15 to 21 days between sessions, according to the sensitivity and recovery capacity of the skin to be treated.
